RTG Rail is a key multi-service Network Rail-approved provider of safety-critical staff, expertise and equipment, and one of the largest electrical isolation providers in the UK.
Launched in 2006, RTG Rail quickly established a foothold in the railway services sector by taking on the smaller projects that larger companies were unwilling or unable to tackle. Today, we operate as both a main and sub-contractor, creating tailored solutions to match individual client needs.
Electrical Isolations
As the largest electrical isolation provider in the South-East we still work on local trackside projects, such as landslips and embankment clearances. However, our portfolio now also includes flagship projects such as Crossrail, High Output, the roof upgrade at King’s Cross Station, and North London Line’s platform extension programme. Regardless of size, our approach is always the same.
Safety Critical
The railway network is a potentially dangerous environment. RTG Rail can supply safety-critical staff for a wide range of activities, whether emergency or pre-planned. All personnel are fully trained to current standards, hold valid certificates of competence, and undergo workplace assessments where necessary. We even operate our own rigorous in-house training programme.
Isolation Planning
Our planning team has more than 100 years’ combined rail experience between them, and can plan and manage any electrical isolation, assigning and briefing suitably-qualified staff. We’re fully equipped to tackle AC and DC isolations using the latest equipment, calibrated and tested to current standards.We have both Nominated Persons (NP) and Authorised Persons (AP) on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Possession and SWPPlanning
Well planned and executed jobs are completed faster and more cost-efficiently. Above all, they’re safer and reduce the risk of accidents. RTG has full in-house SWP (Safe Work Pack) facilities, with planners trained to current NWR standards. We can supply planned systems of work at very short notice – same day, if it’s urgent – and can also provide SWP planning for open line, line blockages and possessions. RTG can also provide experienced staff to attend planning meetings on your behalf.
